A member of the National Democratic Congress\u2019 (NDC) Legal Team, Abraham Amaliba, has said former President Mahama\u2019s comeback poses a threat to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n

The NPP through its acting Director of Communications, Yaw Adomako Barfi, has said they are not moved by the decision of the former President to contest the upcoming NDC presidential primaries and subsequently vie for the presidency.<\/p>\n

But speaking on\u00a0Breakfast Daily, Mr. Amaliba said a Mahama-led NDC will send NPP into the opposition in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt bothers them. Listen to the ordinary Ghanaian, what they say is that, Mahama\u2019s time was better, the comparisons\u00a0are being made. What will make this election interesting is to compare Nana\u2019s four years to Mahama\u2019s four years of governance. I know Mahama has already won, Mahama\u2019s time was better,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the same show, a communication team member of the governing NPP, Eric Twum, said former president Mahama\u2019s comeback has been disapproved by his own party members.<\/p>\n

John Mahama last Thursday[August 23] officially declared his intention to contest in the party\u2019s\u00a0presidential primaries.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
