Former Finance Minister, Seth Terkper, has endorsed former President John Dramani Mahama\u2019s 2020 Presidential ambition.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Citi TV\u2019s Point of View, Mr. Terkper said: \u201cI believe strongly that has the experience to run. He has the foresight\u2026 There are others who are in the race but I\u2019m saying that you can see his records are clear. President Mahama has credentials that will make him win. I do endorse his decision to run again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not about the personality but it is about the policies, some of which I worked on very closely with him and to that extent, I say that I have all the conviction that he can do a better job\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

John Mahama last Thursday[August 23] officially declared his intention to contest in the party\u2019s presidential primaries, despite the fact that he led the party to one of its worse election performances in 2016 as an incumbent president.<\/p>\n

Mahama\u2019s decision, although anticipated, has left some party supporters surprised as they believe Mahama needed not after the humiliating defeat.<\/p>\n
