Aphia Sakyi the Ghanaian designer who made Janet Jackson\u2019s beads, a legendary singer and sister to late MJ, Janet Jackson who rocked beautiful jewelry for her just-released \u201cMade For Now\u201d video says her work will take Ghana\u2019s fashion industry to the world.<\/p>\n
The video was to pay homage to Michael Jackson\u2019s \u2018Remember The Times\u2019 featuring Eddie Murphy in an Egyptian style setting.<\/p>\n
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Light Fm, Aphia Sakyi acknowledged, \u201cMy work will promote made in Ghana and lots of things\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also have a saying like Africa to the world or Ghana to the world. However, for the moment our work has gotten to that level we have reached there and it is going to raise the standard of Ghana\u2019s fashion to a higher level\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n

Janet Jackson \u2019s fine choice of jewelry was taken from Aphia Sakyi\u2019s Summer Harmattan collection, titled \u201950 Shades Of Print\u2019 and this necklace, in particular, is called the \u2018Yaa Asantewaa\u2019 necklace.<\/p>\n
The full collection of pieces for \u201950 shades of Print\u2019 is set to be released in September and outdoored on the runway for the first time at Accra Fashion Week this October.<\/p>\n
