The world\u2019s best male and female footballers will be named at the Best Fifa Football Awards in London on Monday.<\/p>\n

Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Mohamed Salah are the finalists for the men\u2019s player award for 2018 \u2013 with no place for Lionel Messi.<\/p>\n

Ada Hegerberg, Dzsenifer Marozsan and Marta are the nominees for the women\u2019s player award.<\/p>\n

Gareth Bale is one of 10 candidates for the Fifa Puskas goal of the year.<\/p>\n

The other awards are for the Best Fifa goalkeeper, men\u2019s coach, women\u2019s coach, fan award, fair play award and Fifpro World XI.<\/p>\n

British actor Idris Elba and French journalist Anne-Laure Bonnet host the show at the Royal Festival Hall, which starts at 18:30 BST.<\/p>\n

This is the third year of the Best Fifa awards after the world governing body\u2019s six-year association with the Ballon d\u2019Or came to an end.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s player<\/h3>\n

This is the first year since 2006 that Lionel Messi has not been in the final three of Fifa\u2019s top award \u2013 then called the Fifa World Player of the Year. It will also be the first time since 2010 that Ronaldo and Messi have not been the top two in either order.<\/p>\n

The final three was named on 3 September \u2013 with the winners of the men\u2019s and women\u2019s player and coach awards being decided by 25% from national team coaches, 25% from national team captains, 25% from select media representatives and 25% online vote.<\/p>\n

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, now Juventus and Portugal)<\/b><\/p>\n

The 33-year-old \u2013 who has won both Best Fifa awards so far \u2013 is nominated after a season in which he won his fifth Champions League title. He scored 15 goals to ensure he would be top scorer in the competition for a sixth consecutive season \u2013 including a shared one in 2014-15.<\/p>\n

He scored 44 goals in as many games in all competitions for Real Madrid \u2013 including 18 in his final 10 La Liga games. Ronaldo then scored four times at the World Cup for Portugal to make him the second top scorer in international football history.<\/p>\n

A \u00a399.2m move to Juventus followed this summer, where he will bid to win the Champions League with a third different side.<\/p>\n

Luka Modric (Real Madrid and Croatia)<\/b><\/p>\n

Modric, who is 33 like his former team-mate, enjoyed arguably the best year of his career as he too won a third consecutive Champions League trophy \u2013 before reaching the World Cup final with Croatia.<\/p>\n

In the summer his international team-mate Dejan Lovren said: \u201cModric would probably be getting more attention if he was German or Spanish. He would maybe even be a Ballon d\u2019Or winner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Tottenham midfielder won the Golden Ball award for the best player in the World Cup after their final defeat by France. He scored in their opening two matches and also set up one goal.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool and Egypt)<\/b><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s player<\/h3>\n

Last year\u2019s winner, Lieke Martens of Barcelona and the Netherlands, did not make the final 10 this time. England\u2019s Lucy Bronze made that list but was cut from the final three.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old had the season of his career to take Liverpool to the Champions League final and Egypt to the World Cup \u2013 although he ended up without a trophy.<\/p>\n

Following a \u00a334m move from Roma in June 2017, he scored 44 goals in 52 games for Liverpool, winning the Premier League Golden Boot on his return to English football after a disappointing spell at Chelsea earlier in his career.<\/p>\n

A shoulder injury suffered in the Champions League final meant he was not fully fit in Egypt\u2019s first World Cup since 1990 \u2013 but he did still manage two goals in as many games.<\/p>\n

Ada Hegerberg (Lyon)<\/b><\/p>\n

The 23-year-old, who is currently on an international break from Norway, scored 53 goals in 32 games last season as Lyon won the Ligue 1 and Champions League double for a third consecutive season.<\/p>\n

She scored 15 goals in the Champions League \u2013 a record for a single season \u2013 and 31 goals in 20 league appearances.<\/p>\n

Hegerberg, the\u00a02017 BBC Women\u2019s Footballer<\/a>\u00a0of the Year, has three years left on her Lyon deal \u2013 a contract length rarely seen in women\u2019s football.<\/p>\n

Dzsenifer Marozsan (Lyon and Germany)<\/b><\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Germany captain also won the Ligue 1 and Champions League double with Lyon last season.<\/p>\n

The midfielder led her country to five wins out of six in Women\u2019s World Cup qualifying and was named in the Women\u2019s Champions League squad of the tournament.<\/p>\n

In July it was announced she had a\u00a0pulmonary embolism,<\/a>\u00a0which occurs when a blood vessel in the lungs is blocked.<\/p>\n

Marta (Orlando Pride and Brazil)<\/b><\/p>\n

The 32-year-old has made the final three for Fifa\u2019s top award for the 13th time in her career and is looking to win for the sixth time.<\/p>\n

She led Brazil to the Copa America in April, as they won all seven matches \u2013 although she only scored one of their 31 goals.<\/p>\n

Marta scored 13 goals and set up six more as Orlando Pride reached the NWSL play-off semi-finals in the United States \u2013 earning herself a place in the league\u2019s team of the year.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper<\/h3>\n

The three nominees for goalkeeper of the year were all in the Premier League last year.<\/p>\n

Belgian\u00a0Thibaut Courtois<\/b>\u00a0joined Real Madrid from Chelsea, Tottenham captain\u00a0Hugo Lloris<\/b>\u00a0helped France to win the World Cup and Leicester and Denmark keeper\u00a0Kasper Schmeichel\u00a0<\/b>is a slightly surprising candidate.<\/p>\n

Gianluigi Buffon \u2013 then of Juventus and Italy \u2013 won the inaugural award last season.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s coach<\/h3>\n

The three nominated coaches are French duo\u00a0Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps\u00a0<\/b>and Croat\u00a0Zlatko Dalic.<\/b><\/p>\n

Zidane left Real Madrid after guiding them to a third consecutive Champions League and Deschamps led France to World Cup glory, beating Dalic\u2019s Croatia in the final.<\/p>\n

The 2017 award was won by Zidane, with Claudio Ranieri winning in 2016 after taking Leicester to the Premier League title.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s coach<\/h3>\n

The nominated trio are\u00a0Reynald Pedros, Asako Takakura<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Sarina Wiegman.<\/b><\/p>\n

Former France men\u2019s midfielder Pedros took Lyon to the Ligue 1-Champions League double in his first season in charge, Takakura led Japan to the Asian Cup title and Wiegman took the Netherlands to the World Cup qualifying play-offs.<\/p>\n

Wiegman secured the award last year after the Netherlands won Euro 2017.<\/p>\n

Fifa Puskas goal of the year<\/h3>\n

Gareth Bale<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Cristiano Ronaldo<\/b>\u00a0are among the 10 candidates for goal of the year for their Champions League bicycle kicks for Real Madrid last season. Four nominees were World Cup strikes \u2013\u00a0Lionel Messi, Benjamin Pavard, Ricardo Quaresma<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Denis Cheryshev.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah\u2019s<\/b>\u00a0Premier League goal for Liverpool against Everton in a 1-1 draw in December is shortlisted. Also included are\u00a0Riley McGree\u00a0<\/b>for Australian side Newcastle Jets,\u00a0Giorgian de Arrascaeta<\/b>\u00a0for Cruzeiro of Brazil and\u00a0Lazaros Christodoulopoulos\u00a0<\/b>for AEK Athens against Olympiakos, whom he has since joined.<\/p>\n

Fifpro World XI<\/b><\/p>\n

There are 55 candidates for the Fifpro World XI \u2013 including England trio\u00a0Kyle Walker\u00a0<\/b>(Man City),\u00a0Kieran Trippier<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Harry Kane<\/b>\u00a0(both Spurs). There are 13 other current Premier League players are on the shortlist\u2026<\/p>\n

David de Gea<\/b>\u00a0(Man Utd),\u00a0Dejan Lovren<\/b>\u00a0(Liverpool),\u00a0Yerry Mina<\/b>\u00a0(Everton),\u00a0Virgil van Dijk<\/b>\u00a0(Liverpool),\u00a0Kevin de Bruyne<\/b>\u00a0(Man City),\u00a0Eden Hazard<\/b>(Chelsea),\u00a0N\u2019Golo Kante<\/b>\u00a0(Chelsea),\u00a0Nemanja Matic<\/b>\u00a0(Man Utd),\u00a0Paul Pogba<\/b>(Man Utd),\u00a0David Silva<\/b>\u00a0(Man City),\u00a0Romelu Lukaku<\/b>\u00a0(Man Utd),\u00a0Sadio Mane<\/b>(Liverpool),\u00a0Mohamed Salah\u00a0<\/b>(Liverpool).<\/p>\n
