Ghana, under former president John Mahama, after\u00a0 spending an amount 278million dollars on the Building\u00a0 the new Terminal 3 at the Kotoka Airport has seen the facility partly flooded after a downpour, MyNewsGh.com has learnt.<\/p>\n

The Terminal which was to accommodate 5 million\u00a0 travellers a year, 1250 passengers an hour and six boarding air bridges flooded with the video of the flooding trending as a butt of jokes against Mr Mahama and the NDC who only days ago were very proud of the project, fighting the Akufo-Addo government not to take credit for it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Terminal 3 project was financed from credit raised by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority on its own balance sheet with no sovereign guarantee or public charge to its debt stock, Mahama had boasted when it was started.<\/p>\n

A Turkish company, MAPA Construction and Trade Company was the main contractor.<\/p>\n

Controversial New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong early this year accused the former President Mahama administration of inflating the cost of the Kotoka International Airport Terminal 3 project, as MyNewsGh.com reported at the time.<\/p>\n

According to the MP, 278 million dollars for one project is way outrageous, and only serves to show the thievery of the Mahama administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no value for money for that project. You can\u2019t tell me you spent 278 million dollars on one Terminal. How much did Heathrow cost? One terminal 278 million dollars! Why?\u201d The MP asked.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI deliberately went to count the hangars, just seven. 278 million, the things it can do at the airport is not what they did,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know what 278 million dollars can do? These guys are greedy,\u201d he said on Adom T.V\u2019s Badwam.<\/p>\n
