A lady in her early 20s has been paralyzed after an alleged gang-rape at Abrepo near Bantama, a suburb of the Kumasi\u00a0 Metropolis in the Ashanti Region, MyNewsGh.com can report.<\/p>\n
The victim whose identity is yet to be established is currently in a critical condition after the alleged incident which has been lodged with the police.<\/p>\n
An eyewitness, Evans Osei Amoah who lives close to the crime scene,\u00a0 told MyNews that they heard loud screaming around 1 am on Sunday dawn but did not go out for fear it was a robbery ploy by some faceless persons to trap their victims.<\/p>\n
According to him, at about 6am when it was clear, he came out of his home to find the victim naked and immobile in a small plantain farm in front of his house adding that the victim was in a coma.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause of her situation, we reported the case to Suntreso Police Command and they quickly responded and came to her aid\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
A source at the Suntreso Police Station also confirmed the incident to MyNews the victim is indeed in a critical condition and receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital ( KATH ).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a visit to the crime scene found condoms in the victim\u2019s handbag raising suspicion she could be a\u00a0 \u201csex worker\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Police disclosed to MyNews they have commenced investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n
