The Electoral Commission has explained that its original logo is much more in line with its mandate.<\/p>\n
The EC\u2019s Head of Communications, Eric Dzakpasu said on\u00a0Eyewitness News\u00a0the original logo \u201cactually reflects and communicates well the public mandate of the Commission and also reflects the Ghanian context in which the Commission operates.\u201d<\/p>\n
The values underpinning this mandate are transparency, fairness and accountability, he noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust at a glance, you will be able to relate to this logo and understand what the Electoral Commission of Ghana stands for. That is all that there is.\u201d<\/p>\n
The logo the EC used before 2016 has officially been restored after the leadership of the EC agreed to do away with the new one.<\/p>\n A memo sighted by\u00a0citinewsroom.com\u00a0said \u201ceffect from today, the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0of December, 2018, the original logo of the Electoral Commission which nears the Coats of Arms and has a ballot box showing the hand casting its vote has been restored.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAll communications from the Electoral Commission must from today, be made on the letterhead bearing the original logo of the Commission as appears on the face of this letterheads, are to be picked up from the stores of the Commission,\u201d the memo added.<\/p>\n Prior to the 2016 general elections, the Electoral Commission under the leadership of\u00a0 Charlotte Osei,\u00a0changed the logo<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as part of what was described as a five-year strategic plan to re-brand the Commission.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/EC-LOGO.jpg\"){kind=logo}
