Ghanaian Afro pop artiste Wiyaala and her manager John Sherren will be interacting with members of the Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana (ATWAG) today, Thursday December 6, 2018 in a master class.<\/p>\n
This is part of the association\u2019s bid to build the capacity of its members and also gain knowledge of various fields and players in the arts, tourism and culture industry.<\/p>\n
Wiyaala and John will be will be sharing their experiences with the members on the theme \u201cTHE ARTS WRITER AND ARTISTE RELATIONS IN THE NEW MEDIA ERA.\u201d<\/p>\n
The progranme will be held at 4:30pm at the Accra Tourist Information Centre.<\/p>\n
This is to offer the art writers the opportunity to get insight into the work of artistes, their perception of the media, their challenges with the media, their experiences with the media in other countries, among others.<\/p>\n
They would in turn receive contributions from the arts writers as regards their expectations of artistes, their relationship with the media and role of the media in the development of an artiste\u2019s brand.<\/p>\n

The Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana (ATWAG) is bent on organizing similar programmes for to keep its members abreast of the various organs and institutions of the sector.<\/p>\n
Plans are underway to hold another workshop with veteran journalist Nanabanyin Dadson on the ethics and principles of arts, tourism and culture journalism.<\/p>\n
The Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana (ATWAG) is an association of Ghanaian arts writers\/journalists and media workers.<\/p>\n
ATWAG seeks to promote arts, tourism and culture reporting in Ghana while developing the professional capacity and the welfare of its members.<\/p>\n
Part of its goals is to also to ensure that arts and tourism writers are given the needed recognition and due respect among their colleagues journalists.<\/p>\n
ATWAG is also aimed at promoting co-operation and collaboration among its members and players in the arts, tourism and culture value chain.<\/p>\n
