The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has delivered on most of its promises to Ghanaians within the short period of its administration.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the 10th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary durbar to commemorate the enskinment of Buipewura Abdullia Jinapor II at Buipe over the weekend, he said there is a lot of evidence of the work government has done to ensure economic transformation for all Ghanaians.<\/p>\n He said the government so far, was on course to deliver on all its promises in various sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n \u201cWe pledged to build a society anchored on fairness, decency and integrity. We committed ourselves to serving our countrymen and women with dedication and honesty\u2026. The Government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is absolutely on course. We are systematically working to deliver on each of our promises,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe promised to restore economic growth and we have. We promised to reduce inflation and we\u2019ve reduced inflation. We promised to reduce interest rates, we\u2019ve done just that. We promised to reduce the debt burden, we\u2019ve reduced the debt burden. We promised to increase agricultural production, we have delivered that.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Listing other things he described as remarkable achievements of the NPP government, Dr Bawumia said key promises such as the reduction in electricity tariffs has also been fulfilled by the government.<\/p>\n
