The suspect in the murder of a pastor of the Assemblies of God church, Francis Mugnanla Nabegmado, has been taken to the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital for assessment.<\/p>\n
Francis is being accused of stabbing his uncle and a senior pastor of the Assemblies of God in Tema, Rev. Dr. David Nabegmado, to death last Sunday.<\/p>\n
Francis has been narrating why he committed the atrocity\u00a0 in a rather bizzare manner\u00a0 thereby making the state of his mental soundness questionable, hence the psychiatric evaluation.<\/p>\n
He was immediately arrested by church members and handed over to the police.<\/p>\n
The suspect was sent to the Tema District Court yesterday [Wednesday] and was remanded into police custody to reappear on January 17, 2019.<\/p>\n

Rev. Dr. David Nabegmado was reported to have been attacked while preparing to leave his inner office to the main church auditorium to preach on December 30.<\/p>\n
He died a few hours after being rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.<\/p>\n
Francis,\u00a0his nephew, was almost lynched after he was apprehended at the scene.<\/p>\n Videos from the scene of the arrest showed the suspect bleeding seriously from his head as a policeman tried to calm the angry men around, some of whom were striking the suspect with their hands and sticks.<\/p>\n One of the angry men can be heard saying \u201cwe have to kill him too. We have to also kill him. He has killed a pastor.
