Award-winning Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has said the blame for the\u00a0Menzgoldscam should be laid at the doorstep of celebrities and politicians who didn\u2019t ask questions about\u00a0Menzgold\u00a0but simply allowed themselves to be used by NAM 1, MyNews has filed.<\/p>\n
Ms\u00a0Forson is also warning the Ghanaian public to desist from attacking the customers of\u00a0Menzgold\u00a0for being greedy because according to her, the desire to invest with\u00a0Menzgold\u00a0was born out of the endorsement the business got from celebrities, MyNews reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe company (Menzgold) was endorsed by high profile celebrities, the CEO rubbed shoulders with some of the most important people, including politicians in the country. Did any of these people have suspicions about the company? I\u2019m sure they did.\u201d Ms Forson wrote.<\/p>\n
Some of the celebrities who endorsed NAM 1 and his businesses include Kumi Guitar, James Gardiner, Joselyn Dumas, Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Jackie Appiah, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Becca, among others. NAM 1 also \u2018frolicked\u2019 with President Akufo-Addo, the Otumfuo, Chief Imam and other important leaders in the country.<\/p>\n
Some of the people who invested with Menzgold say these endorsements convinced them about NAM 1\u2019s genuineness.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are so many stories surrounding this issue that I wouldn\u2019t even know where to begin; however I\u2019ve seen so many people blame the victims of this investment for being greedy and not heeding to BoG\u2019s warnings, and that\u2019s what I want to address.\u201d she began.<\/p>\n
