With the dust yet to settle on the kidnapping of three teenagers in Takoradi, reports have emerged of another kidnapping in Tarkwa in also in the Western region.<\/p>\n
Paulina Manu, the Headmistress of Tarkwa Senior High School has confirmed the kidnap of a first-year student on Wednesday to Joy News.<\/p>\n
According to the headmistress who declined to go on record, said the girl obtained permission to go home but she never got there.<\/p>\n
Joy News\u2019 Western Region correspondent, Ina Thalia Quansah reports that the student is from the northern part of the country and living with a relation in Prestea also in the\u00a0region.<\/p>\n
Hours after she left, she called her brother in the north demanding some money. The baffled brother questioned what she needed it for because she sounded frantic.<\/p>\n
She told him after she picked a taxi to go to Prestea, she was taken to a place she did not know by unknown persons and currently in a strange room.<\/p>\n
Mrs Manu told the reporter that she has reported the incident to the Tarkwa police.<\/p>\n
The Divisional Commander told Joy News\u2019 they wouldn’t call it kidnapping for now and asked to be given time\u00a0to investigate.<\/p>\n
This latest incident comes at the back of the kidnapping of three teenagers whom the police say they are closing in on.<\/p>\n
