Cocoa roads among others. Which have reached the stage of being tarred have been neglected. What it means is that we are one united party poised to win victory in 2020. I\u2019m happy that all the other aspirants have called and congratulated John Dramani Mahama. It is only through unity that we can realize victory in 2020. We are going to build strong party machinery\u2026to ensure that we win 2020. The journey to the Flagstaff House begins now,\u201d the NDC National Chairman stated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Full results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Certified results from the Electoral Commission show that John Mahama\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/2019\/02\/23\/mahama-sweeps-95-votes-to-become-ndc-flagbearer-for-2020\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>secured an overwhelming 213,487 votes<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0representing 95.23 percent of the total valid votes cast.<\/p>\n<p>A former Vice-Chancellor of University of Professional Studies; Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi came second with 3,404 votes representing 1.52% of the total valid votes cast.<\/p>\n<p>The Second Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament for Nadowli\/Kaleo, Mr Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin, polled 2,301 votes representing 1.03% of the total votes cast, placing third.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-488322 disappear mom_appear\" src=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ndc-presidential-primaries-2019.jpeg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 909px) 100vw, 909px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ndc-presidential-primaries-2019.jpeg 909w, https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ndc-presidential-primaries-2019-253x300.jpeg 253w, https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ndc-presidential-primaries-2019-768x912.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ndc-presidential-primaries-2019-862x1024.jpeg 862w\" alt=\"\" width=\"909\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Goosie Tanoh, founder of the Reformed Party, a breakaway from the NDC came fourth with 2,091 votes representing 0.93%.<\/p>\n<p>The former Trades and Industry Minister in the Mahama government, Ekwow Spio Garbrah received 1,447 votes which represent 0.65% of the total votes.<\/p>\n<p>Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Mr Sylvester Mensah and businessman secured\u00a0934 of valid votes cast representing o.42\u00a0percent.<\/p>\n<p>A businessman, Nurudeen Iddrisu placed seventh with a paltry 520 votes representing 0.23%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Nothing can stop our march to Flagstaff House in 2020\u2019 \u2013 Mahama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mahama had also said the NDC was ready to snatch power from the governing New Patriotic Party in the 2020 polls.<\/p>\n<p>He said the NDC is united and poised for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/2019\/02\/24\/nothing-can-stop-our-march-to-flagstaff-house-in-2020-mahama\/\"><strong>victory<\/strong><\/a>, saying nothing can stop their victory.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI want to serve notice to Ghana that from the outcome of this election, [it means] the NDC is strong. The NDC is united. The NDC is poised for victory in 2020.
