{"id":14387,"date":"2019-04-10T14:18:43","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T14:18:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=14387"},"modified":"2019-04-11T08:20:57","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T08:20:57","slug":"lynx-boss-richie-mensah-to-contest-for-musiga-vice-president-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=14387","title":{"rendered":"Lynx boss Richie Mensah to contest for MUSIGA Vice President position"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"959\" height=\"566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/richie-menss.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14388\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/richie-menss.jpg 959w, https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/richie-menss-410x242.jpg 410w, https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/richie-menss-768x453.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 959px) 100vw, 959px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As the national election of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) inches closer, some musicians have started expressing interest in positions they want to occupy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah has announced in a video his intention to vie for the position of the Vice President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/2019\/04\/02\/kwame-dadzie-writes-who-takes-over-musiga-as-president-obour-exits\/\"><\/a>This comes a few days after the current 1st Vice President of the Union, Bessa Simons also came out to express interest in the presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the video, Richie talks about the experience he has gleaned from the music industry since he started music about 12 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also mentions his contribution to the industry and the prospects it holds if he should be given the nod to be part of the MUSIGA\u2019s top leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richie has been the Director of Music Standards at MUSIGA for the past 3 years but believes he can do better if he accedes the Vice President seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn my efforts to standardise the industry, I embarked on projects such as Music Plus, Music this Week, The Future project an official Ghana music chart and Ghana Music Live App. There is so much more that can still be done, which is why when nominations open, I will be picking up forms to stand for Vice President for MUSIGA,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richie, together with his Lynx Entertainment group has produced some of the best artistes in Ghana including Eazzy, OJ Blaq, Asem, Ziggy, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, MzVee, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also owns the Cockpit Lounge and Bar at the Achimota Retail Centre and also runs an ushering agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), has set June 28, 2019 as the date for its national elections.
