{"id":15278,"date":"2020-06-09T17:52:54","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T17:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=15278"},"modified":"2020-06-09T17:52:56","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T17:52:56","slug":"why-i-did-not-walk-from-accra-to-kumasi-akwaboah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=15278","title":{"rendered":"Why I did not walk from Accra to Kumasi \u2013 Akwaboah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Earlier this year, highlife artiste, Akwaboah promised his fans through social media that he\u2019s about to release a song featuring Sarkodie and should the song fail to blow in a week he\u2019ll walk from Accra to Kumasi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fast forward the song titled \u2018Mengye Mani\u2019 was released with many people expecting that the song will blow as expected but surprisingly the song didn\u2019t make huge waves in the music scene and it didn\u2019t get enough airplay as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Akwaboah born Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr has revealed that he didn\u2019t fulfill his promise to walk from Accra to Kumasi because Sarkodie hasn\u2019t been around since the song was released in order for them to do the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to Cape Coast\u2019s finest radio presenter, Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central monitored by\u00a0MyNewsGh, Akwaboah said he can only conclude that the song wasn\u2019t a hit if he had a video to complement the audio airplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He divulged \u201cNo I didn\u2019t walk from Accra to Kumasi because the song was a hit but we were supposed to have a video shoot to support it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, Coronavirus has prevented Sarkodie from coming to Ghana for us to do the video shoot.
