{"id":15306,"date":"2020-06-10T20:03:46","date_gmt":"2020-06-10T20:03:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=15306"},"modified":"2020-06-10T20:03:48","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T20:03:48","slug":"mahama-likely-to-name-his-wife-as-his-running-mate-wontumi-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=15306","title":{"rendered":"Mahama likely to name his wife as his running mate \u2013 Wontumi claims"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling government, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako has named former First lady, Lordina Mahama has a possible Running Mate to Mr. John Dramani Mahama, 2020 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am telling you from a credible source that John Mahama wants to make his wife Lordina Mahama his running mate\u201d, Mr. Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly called Chairman Wontumi said on his network, Wontumi TV\/Radio monitored by\u00a0MyNewsGh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Chairman Wontumi, the former President, John Mahama while in office entrusted stated resources into the hands of his wife which made the former First Lady so powerful even than the then late Vice president, Paa Kwasi Amissah-Arthur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLordina Mahama became so powerful than Amissah-Arthur so his husband this time wants to make her his vice\u201d, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako claimed, challenging&nbsp; the NDC flagbearer to name his running mate as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the former president contends that though he already knows who his running mate will be for the upcoming general elections, it is, however, not the opportune time to name the person now when the party cannot outdoor him because of President Akufo-Addo\u2019s ban on social gathering in a bid to contain the virus, which has so far claimed 17 deaths in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that the party has enough time to do the announcement since the deadline for naming a running mate is when the Electoral Commission opens nominations in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have timelines that we are working on. We have to put up our national campaign team, we have to name and outdoor our running mate, we have to publish and inaugurate our manifesto.
