Former President, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, has opined that his style of leadership was loved by many with only a handful of corrupt individuals finding fault with his governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Former Head of State, speaking with veteran journalist Kwaku Sakyi-addo on Asaase Radio, said that former President Mills and Mahama failed to live up to the ideals of the National Democratic Congress Party, which he believes Kufour introduced monetization into politics and for that NDC is trying to go that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I think they may have decided that if they can\u2019t go along with my kind of neat, clean politics \u2026 they would like to do it the Kufuor and his NPP way: monetise it\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, naturally, he would have to leave Kufuor and all his sins alone, and engage in the same type of politics, monetising the whole programme, the whole process\u2026That is why corruption has gone so deep \u2026 since I left office,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He maintained that Ex-Preident Kufour, out of hatred jailed some NDC appointees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s as if he doesn\u2019t understand basic psychology, about right and wrongs. In his refusal to halt, to investigate \u2026 and to clean up some of those wrongs, some of those injustices, the wrong would end up perpetuating itself\u2026That\u2019s how come we went downhill \u2026 How can you hate people in their brilliance to the extent that you would want to jail people like Tsatsu Tsikata?\u201d He quizzed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
