Ghana international, Kevin-Prince Boateng, has promised to support the families of the colts team who died in the Offinso road accident a week ago in any way he can to help ease their pain of losing their loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seven colt footballers died after a minivan they were traveling with lost control and jumped into the Offin river on their way home after the registration exercise in Afrancho in the Ashanti region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former Barcelona forward said he saw the news on social media and called a friend to verify. He stated the more details he finds, the more devastating it becomes to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI heard about it, and it really made me sad. I first saw it on Social Media, and I called a friend to find out if it was true\u201d, he said on Joy News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe told me about it, and I felt really sad because I have kids of my own. One is 12, and one is 6. So, it is a big tragedy, and it hits me hard\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four of the dead young footballers have been buried, and the other three will also be given a mass burial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnything that is necessary, I want to help. I want to get in touch with the families. I want to give them the necessary support to feel free. I know it\u2019s hard, and I know how hard it is for parents to bury their children.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The injured players aged between 12 and 15 have now been discharged and will undergo a restorative seminar from the FA and a medical team from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
