{"id":17334,"date":"2020-11-03T08:15:46","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T08:15:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=17334"},"modified":"2020-11-03T08:15:48","modified_gmt":"2020-11-03T08:15:48","slug":"im-yet-to-be-offered-an-appointment-by-akufo-addo-kwabena-agyapong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=17334","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019m yet to be offered an appointment by Akufo-Addo \u2013 Kwabena Agyapong"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong has revealed that he is yet to be offered an appointment by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;He has also refuted claims that he rejected offers &nbsp;from &nbsp;the President to serve in his administration as being speculated by some individuals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, he has not been nominated or appointed to occupy any office in government ,therefore, there is nothing for him to refuse from the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have not refused any appointment. No no\u2026 nobody has given any appointment for me to refuse it. It is never true\u201d, Mr. Kwabena Agyei told Kwame Tanko in an interview on Kumasi-based Angel FM monitored by\u00a0MyNews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Kwabena Agyapong was suspended by his party, on the grounds that he violated Article 4{D} of the NPP Constitution which deals with duties of a member, according to leadership of NPP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, after the supposed suspension, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong insisted that, the action of his party was illegal but the NPP in response in a statement stressed that \u201cThe National Council wishes to make it clear that, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong\u2019s suspension was legal and constitutional\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the party, \u201cThe proceedings of the Disciplinary Committee as in Article 5 were all fully complied with. Article 7{v, vi, vii} which deals with misconduct was invoked by a complainant and after full scale investigations by the constitutionally mandated National Disciplinary Committee, the said Committee recommended an indefinite suspension in line with Article {4} of the NPP Constitution.
