{"id":18045,"date":"2021-02-03T15:00:40","date_gmt":"2021-02-03T15:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=18045"},"modified":"2021-02-04T12:14:03","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T12:14:03","slug":"mahama-mourns-founder-of-defunct-radio-gold-baffoe-bonnie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=18045","title":{"rendered":"Mahama mourns founder of defunct Radio Gold Baffoe Bonnie"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The 2020 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has sent his condolences to the family of the late Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Network Broadcasting Company Limited, owners of defunct Radio Gold, Kwesi Sainti Baffoe Bonnie.<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mahama in joining many Ghanaians to mourn Baffoe-Bonnie described him as &#8220;a friend, comrade, and a brother.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a Facebook post, he wrote: &#8220;Lost a friend, comrade and a brother. RIP Kwesi Sainti Baffoe Bonnie (Babo)&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baffoe Bonnie, who was born in 1950 in the Western North Region of Ghana, died on Monday, February 1, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The business mogul graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History before pursuing his Master of Arts degree in International Affairs (MAIA) from Ohio University, the USA in 1980\/81.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pulse.com.gh\/news\/local\/mahama-mourns-founder-of-defunct-radio-gold-baffoe-bonnie\/f923r7v\" alt=\"Kwesi Sainti Baffoe Bonnie\"> Kwesi Sainti Baffoe Bonnie<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1995, he established the Network Broadcasting Company Limited; the company that operates Radio Gold, Montie FM, and TV Gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was later appointed Board Chairman of the Ghana Air Catering Services from 2006 to 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to his background in international relations, Mr. Baffoe-Bonnie was again appointed the Senior Political Advisor to the then Vice President, John Mahama, during the Mills Administration, from 2009 to 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2012 to 2016, Mr. Baffoe-Bonnie served as a Presidential Staffer and Senior Advisor on Political Affairs to the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was married with 3 children: Ama Aniwaa Baffoe-Bonnie, Kweku Agyeman Baffoe-Bonnie, and Kwaku Amoa Baffoe-Bonnie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2020 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has sent his condolences to the family of the late Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Network Broadcasting Company Limited, owners of defunct Radio Gold, Kwesi Sainti Baffoe Bonnie.
