The National Women Organizer<\/a> for the ruling New Patriotic Party<\/a> (NPP), Kate Gyamfuah<\/a> has finally cleared all doubts surrounding the burning of some excavators believed to belong to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Kate Gyamfuah, she has been in the mining industry for the past thirty-one years. Kate Gyamfuah called into the Seat Show on Net 2 television during a banter between the general Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu<\/a>, and Alex Tetteh<\/a> from the Citizen Eye Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Alex Tetteh had alleged that John Boadu was engaged in a crunch meeting with Kate Gyamfua last week Thursday for a discussion on issues leading to the burning of the excavators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also accused John Boadu of engaging in Galamsey. But Kate Gyamfuah called into the program and indicated that she has never been in a meeting with John Boadu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also indicated that John Boadu has never been involved in galamsey but some persons are trying to drag his name into the act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate Gyamfuah added that she has been the General Manager for Xtra Gold since 2005. According to her, she has been in the mining business for the past thirty-one (31) years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not into galamsey. I started working as the manager for Xtra Gold in 2005. I have been mining for the past 31 years but the NDC destroyed all equipment and the Xtra Gold employed me as their manager. I have never said that NPP<\/a> executives are into illegal mining. John Boadu has never been in galamsey. Some people have planned to destroy the NPP by mentioning the names of some executives. I have never been involved in galamsey it\u2019s an accident that has befallen me\u201d. Kate Gyamfua indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the National Women organizer, she has a list of key persons from both the NPP and NDC who are into mining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have never attended any meeting because my party has done nothing wrong to me. It is an operation they are conducting and I was affected. If they want the list of people who are into mining, I will bring you the list. It\u2019s both NPP and NDC who are into mining and I know all of them. Mining is a good business. I will never run away from mining because I have been in the business for the past 31 years\u201d. She indicated.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
