{"id":25481,"date":"2021-07-15T21:51:46","date_gmt":"2021-07-15T21:51:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=25481"},"modified":"2021-07-15T21:58:48","modified_gmt":"2021-07-15T21:58:48","slug":"govt-grants-clearance-for-11k-jobs-in-security-forces-education-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=25481","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t grants clearance for 11k jobs in security forces, education, others"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Government through the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has granted three Ministries (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of National Security) financial clearance to recruit eleven thousand, eight hundred and forty (11,840) staff to augment their existing staff strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In six (6) separate letters, four (4) to the Interior Minister (for Police, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Service) and the remaining two (2) to the Education and National Security Ministers confirming the clearance to employ staff members, the Finance Minister indicated that the effective date for the people to be recruited will be 1st of August 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interior<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter to the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, states that the Ministry \u201cis hereby granted financial clearance to enable the Comptroller-General, of Ghana Immigration Service to recruit two thousand (2,000), the Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service to recruit two thousand (2,000), Chief Fire Officer to recruit two thousand (2,000), and the Inspector General of Police to recruit five thousand (5,000), personnel to augment the staffing position of the Services\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe emoluments of the personnel should be charged against the Compensation of Employees vote of the Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Police Service, National Fire Service and Ghana Prisons Service, under the Ministry of the Interior in the 2021 Annual Estimates\u201d the clearance letter stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Security<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of National Security per the Finance Minister\u2019s letter dated the 21st of June 2021, grants financial clearance to enable the National Signals Bureau (NSB) to recruit additional one hundred (100) and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to recruit on hundred and forty (140) individuals to augment its workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe emoluments of the personnel should be charged against the Compensation of Employees vote of the Ministry of National Security in the 2021 Annual Estimates. The Hon.
