Kwame Asare Obeng popularly called A-Plus was earlier this morning, Monday, July 26, 2021 in the studios of Angel FM for an interview with Adoma Nwanwani. They discussed issues relating to his public life as well as private ones. A-Plus is one of the critics of the President Akufo-Addo government. According to him he had so much expectations from the president and this has turned upside down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Asare was of the view that Nana Addo is a loyal personality and so cannot find the heart to punish or sack his officials who fail. He noted that he has nothing against the president but rather his failure to address certain pertinent issues. One of the issues was attacks on people who spoke against the president. He cited that he was one of the fiercest critics of John Mahama when the latter was in power and later came to see that John Mahama was a good man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNana Addo told us to be citizens and not spectators and now Akufo-Addo is fighting us. Under John Mahama we spoke so much against him. There is one thing John Mahama did. In 2016 we went for a campaign of Nana Addo in the Western Region. We were at a hotel and I got a message asking if we had finished chopping Fufu. I was surprised. The caller said he won\u2019t tell me his name because he is there to protect us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later he told me he is a national security man. Later I got to know there were so many people who are even in government today who were even being protected by John Mahama. Despite their criticism when he was in power he protected them so that his supporters will not attack them. Some had police escorts and still went to radio stations and insulted him. So why is Nana Addo fighting those who speak against him. Maybe it is not Nana but he needs to address the issues of intimidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He concluded by saying that he has confidence that the NPP will lose the 2024 elections hands down because they keep repeating same mistakes. According to him he doesn\u2019t know who the NDC might bring but then the NPP will lose power definitely. Many claim A-Plus is aggrieved because he wasn\u2019t settled after all he has done for the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
