{"id":28660,"date":"2021-09-08T19:06:41","date_gmt":"2021-09-08T19:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=28660"},"modified":"2021-09-08T19:06:42","modified_gmt":"2021-09-08T19:06:42","slug":"ifbb-invite-ghana-for-the-world-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=28660","title":{"rendered":"IFBB Invite Ghana For The World Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Seven athletes and two other officials of the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (GBFA) have been invited by International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) to compete in this year\u2019s IFBB World Championship and Congress which is due to take place on the 3rd to 8th November 2021 in Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seven athletes include Godwin Frimpong (Bodybuilding), Evans Amwagasi (Bodybuilding), Joseph Ofolikwei Anoumou(Bodybuilding), Michael Otu-Abakah (Bodybuilding). The rest are Vanessa Efia Kolekie ( Female Bikini) , Daniel Nyame Acheampong (Men\u2019s Physique ) and Nabil Issaka(Men\u2019s Physique).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/africanentertainment.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG-20210908-WA0102.jpg?resize=265%2C300&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-64147\" width=\"405\" height=\"459\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The athletes are expected to be accompanied by Abdul Hayye Yartey, the President of the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association and Mr. Charles Owusu Ansah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be Ghana\u2019s second participation in the World Championship since the first in Dubai 2019 when Godwin Frimpong, Derrick Marley and Puedam Abubaka represented Ghana in the 2019 World Championship. Puedam places 3rd in the lightweight category, whiles Frimpong placed 6th out of 37 others in the middleweight category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/africanentertainment.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG-20210908-WA0103.jpg?resize=241%2C300&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-64148\" width=\"407\" height=\"507\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s event holds up hope of being remarkable and more enhanced than previous world championships because of the inclusion of the women, juniors, seniors, and masters events.<br>There will also be the IFBB fitness challenge world championship and the IFBB world Congress<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the GBFA believes that his athletes has what it takes to fly high the flag of Ghana in Spain during the world championship. He said \u201c Frimpong is the current champion of Ghana and won gold in the 2019 Arnold classic Africa. He went on to place 6th out of 37 others at the world championship. Joseph also won gold in the 2019 Arnold Classic Africa. Vanessa on her first international championship in the 2019 Arnold Classic Africa, placed 6th.
