{"id":34049,"date":"2021-12-09T18:19:54","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T18:19:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=34049"},"modified":"2021-12-09T18:31:41","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T18:31:41","slug":"captain-smart-granted-ghs100000-bail-after-pleading-not-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=34049","title":{"rendered":"Captain Smart granted GHS100,000 bail after pleading not guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Onua TV presenter, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/2021\/12\/captain-smart-arrested-for-pronouncements-that-threaten-ghanas-peace-and-security\/\">Captain Smart<\/a><\/strong>, has pleaded not guilty to the charge of offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was when he made his appearance in court on Thursday, December 9, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has since been granted bail to the tune of GHS 100,000 with one surety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The case has been adjourned to January 11, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, he is to report to the police every Tuesday and Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Captain Smart and his lawyers had earlier reported to the Kaneshie District Court on Wednesday for the hearing of the case, but there was no show as the judge was not present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His lawyers, who waited for about three hours for the court to commence the hearing, got fed up with the time wasted. They were later called to agree on a later date, which is some two weeks away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The date agreed was December 20, 2021, but it appears that was later changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe court is not sitting today, so we were told to come on 20th December.
