Prohet Prince Nkansah founder and leader of christ delegate kingdom church,Accra, says though the Bible disapprovero divorce, no Christian church encourages members to stay in abusive marriages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prohet Prince Nkansah said the Church was not to blame for abusive marriages but individuals and the society because some cultural settings did not take issues of abuse in marriages seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Domestic violence in marriage has been a canker in the country and the Church is mostly blamed for not playing its role as an important fragment of the socialisation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an interview with Kumasi Online Tv, kumasi , Prohet Prince Nkansah said God had made all humans rational, and that irrespective of what was at stake, one could not justify issues of abuse in a relationship for any reason and also most times the abuser is under spiritual attack so therefore most abusers deserve to be prayed for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With reference to the passing of popular Nigerian Gospel Artist, Osinachi Nwachukwu of \u2018Ekwueme\u2019 fame who allegedly died from domestic abuse, Prohet Prince Nkansah said churches must be realistic in handling issues of abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn as much as the Church encourages families to stay together, God cares for everybody,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To curb the issue of abuse, he advised the Church to provide protection for victims who may find it difficult to voice out their challenges, stressing \u201cthe Church must not shy away from taking disciplinary actions towards perpetuators of spousal abuse cases.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He advised the youth to take notice of \u201cred flags\u201d while courting to avoid any marital abuse in future, saying: \u201cDo not get into it until you are sure of what you are getting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prohet Prince Nkansah suggested that marriages be revised both culturally and religiously to ensure peace and stability in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
