{"id":39125,"date":"2022-05-20T11:38:30","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T11:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=39125"},"modified":"2022-05-20T11:38:33","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T11:38:33","slug":"komenda-sugar-factory-to-import-raw-sugar-for-processing-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=39125","title":{"rendered":"Komenda Sugar Factory to import raw sugar for processing \u2013 Board"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Board of the Komenda Sugar Factory has announced that it will import raw sugar to support what will be produced locally in order to operationalize the Komenda Sugar Factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Akufo-Addo assured the chiefs and people of Komenda that the factory would be operational in April this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline given by the President has elapsed and residents and sugarcane farmers at Komenda and its environs are worried that the challenges of the factory are not being tackled well by government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview on the JoyNews Tracker, Board Member and Municipal Chief Executive for the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem Municipality, Solomon Ebo Appiah, says the plan for the operationalization of the sugar factory is to import raw sugar that is not in a consumable state to support what the local farmers will produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Komenda-sugar-factory-1-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Komenda Sugar Factory to import raw sugar for processing - Board\" class=\"wp-image-10032089217\" title=\"Komenda Sugar Factory to import raw sugar for processing - Board\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are doing something differently from what the erstwhile administration did.
