{"id":45213,"date":"2022-08-10T20:15:03","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T20:15:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=45213"},"modified":"2022-08-10T20:15:06","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T20:15:06","slug":"one-shot-dead-5-injured-as-festival-turns-bloody","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=45213","title":{"rendered":"One shot dead, 5 injured as festival turns bloody"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One person was shot dead during a festival celebration at Namasa in the Tain District of the Bono Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five others are also said to be injured and on admission at the Nskor Hospital in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tain District Chief Executive (DCE), Lucy Acheampong, who confirmed the incident to&nbsp;<strong>Adom News,&nbsp;<\/strong>said the occurred on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She explained the residents were on the streets for merrymaking when gunshots were fired by unknown persons to disperse the crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe police were called in to convey the deceased and the injured to the hospital with investigations underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe deceased should have been buried in accordance with Islamic customs but that has been rescheduled due to the investigation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She noted that the affected families have been visited with security heightened in the area to prevent any reprisal attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DCE also said that the District Security Council and other stakeholders will hold a meeting to roll out a roadmap to prevent future occurrences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SEND A STORY:<\/strong>\u00a0Do you have a story for us or need a promotion \/ advertisement?
