The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has disclosed that investments belonging to the notorious Chinese national in Ghana, Aisha Huang have been closed down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, this follows her arrest for her involvement in alleged illegal mining and breaching immigration rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the state didn\u2019t know that Aisha Huang\u2019s businesses in the country were still operating even after she was deported in 2018 until her recent re-arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe had several businesses, but now all of them have been locked up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe businesses were there, but we didn\u2019t know they belonged to her. How she got here, I cannot tell. The investigations will unravel that,\u201d the Minister told Citi Fm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aisha was siad to have illegally entered Ghana through a land border country, Togo as she sneaks out of the country anytime she picks up information about her potential arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister indicated that Aisha was arrested through the cooperation of various security agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was re-arrested together with three others namely, Johng Li Hua, Huang Jei, Huaid Hai Hun and arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court last Friday for their involvement in alleged illegal mining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have been charged with mining without license and engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals but they all pleaded not guilty to the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case has been adjourned to September 14, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
