{"id":52408,"date":"2022-10-27T07:21:23","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T07:21:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=52408"},"modified":"2022-10-27T07:22:13","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T07:22:13","slug":"fuel-prices-shoot-up-significantly-by-about-10-percent-before-next-pricing-window","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=52408","title":{"rendered":"Fuel prices shoot up significantly by about 10 percent before next pricing window"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Fuel prices have shot up significantly by about 10 percent even before the fortnight review of petroleum products on Sunday, October 30, 2022 by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is coming despite a stable price of crude oil on the world market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Checks by Joy Business indicate some market leaders such as GOIL and TotalEnergies are selling petrol at \u00a213.99 pesewas a liter while Petrosol and Engen, have increased prices for both petrol and diesel astronomically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whilst Petrosol is now selling petrol for \u00a217.45 pesewas per liter, Engen is selling a liter of petrol for \u00a217.54 .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two OMCs are also now selling a liter of diesel for \u00a219. 89 pesewas and \u00a219.44 pesewas respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some Industry players have attributed the surge in prices to recent depreciation of the cedi against the U.S dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An industry analyst told Joy Business that the OMCs can no longer wait for the bi-weekly review of prices of petroleum products because the Bulk Oil Distribution Companies have been selling to them at the current market rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SEND A STORY:<\/strong>\u00a0Do you have a story for us or need a promotion \/ advertisement?
