Fixthecountry Conveynor, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has asserted that Ghana needs a new constitution or it will soon perish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, 30th October 2022, he wrote;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHear me! A New Constitution or this country will soon perish. Mark my words. We will back in this crisis again. Even if we get out of it at some point.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oliver Barker\u2019s comments comes in wake of economic crisis facing Ghana. The Ghana cedi has been on free fall, causing massive depreciation. Following that, prices of goods and services have gone up. Transport fares has also been increased to correspond with increasing fuel prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reactions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA new Constitution wouldn\u2019t change the behaviour and attitude of people. The USA did not have to abolish the Constitution which classified Africans as properties. Amendment is the way forward. Let\u2019s end the circle of revolving doors.\u201d A user wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
