In a recent interview, rapper Medikal said unequivocally that he is no longer active on the social networking platform Twitter and has no plans to sign up for the service again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was revealed in what looks to be a Snapchat conversation between him and the popular internet personality Kalyjay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, Medikal, aka MDK, had his 320,000-follower verified (blue tick) Twitter account suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before his suspension, the \u2018Stubborn Academy\u2019 singer changed his Twitter handle to \u201cMr. President\u201d and posted a photo of Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with the hashtag \u201c#NewProfilePic.\u201d The exact reason for the name change is unclear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elon Musk, the newly appointed CEO of Twitter, tweeted on November 6, 2022, that \u201ccoming forward,\u201d the company will not accept impersonation on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The South African billionaire, who is the wealthiest person in the world, said, \u201cAny name change at all would trigger temporary loss of verified checkmark.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twitter has just revealed that the \u201cverification indicator,\u201d often known as the \u201cblue tick,\u201d would cost users $US7.99 per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
