{"id":55681,"date":"2022-11-18T18:34:44","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T18:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=55681"},"modified":"2022-11-18T18:34:48","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T18:34:48","slug":"akatsi-north-male-teacher-drowns-his-three-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=55681","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Akatsi North: Male teacher drowns his three children<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ave-Afiadenyigba (V\/R), Nov. 18, GNA \u2013 Venunye Dordor, a teacher at Ave-Afiadenyigba RC Basic School in the Akatsi North District of the Volta Region, has allegedly drowned three of his children in a water reservoir at his house at Ave-Afiadenyigba.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lifeless bodies of the children, two boys, and a girl, aged four, nine and 11 years respectively, were retrieved from the reservoir.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Isaac Sowu Newton, the Assembly Member of the area,&nbsp; said the Ave-Dakpa Police were called, who retrieved the bodies and had since conveyed them to the St Anthony Hospital morgue at Dzodze for preservation and autopsy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He told the Ghana News Agency that he received distress calls at about 2240 hours on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from residents about the incident.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the suspect, a father of five and believed to be in his 40s, allegedly dropped the trio into the reservoir before screaming for help after attempting to kill himself also.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Sowu said, according to the residents, a misunderstanding ensued between the suspect and his wife, who resided at Anloga.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police would come out with their findings at the appropriate time, he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect, believed to be mentally ill, is currently in police custody helping with investigations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A police source at Ave-Dakoa has since confirmed the incident to the GNA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GNA&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SEND A STORY:<\/strong>\u00a0Do you have a story for us or need a promotion \/ advertisement?
