{"id":8531,"date":"2018-06-11T18:17:47","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T17:17:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kumasionlinegh.com\/?p=8531"},"modified":"2018-06-11T18:21:03","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T17:21:03","slug":"ejura-govt-deliver-separate-siamese-twins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/?p=8531","title":{"rendered":"Ejura Gov\u2019t deliver separate Siamese twins"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8532\" src=\"http:\/\/kumasionlinegh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Twin-seperated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Twin-seperated.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.kumasionlinetv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Twin-seperated-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Ejura Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region has recorded a first case of delivery of Siamese twins.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to health workers at the facility, they performed a caesarian section to remove the babies after the mother, 28 year old Asamawu Abdallah had undergone a similar surgery two years ago.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The babies, both females are conjoined to the abdomen.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The C-section, which started at about\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1108073532\"><span class=\"aQJ\">6:30pm<\/span><\/span>\u00a0ended at\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1108073533\"><span class=\"aQJ\">7:00pm<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1108073534\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0evening.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Medical Superintendent at the Ejura Government Hospital, Dr. Mensah Manye, who confirmed the incident said the twins were receiving medical attention.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Manye indicated that he performed a more complicated case at the New Edubiase hospital in the Ashanti region five years ago.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said the twins in that case shared vital organs like the heart and lungs, a condition he described as a very delicate one.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The mother is being monitored by health workers at the Ejura Government Hospital.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The babies will also be referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for a surgery to be conducted.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ejura Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region has recorded a first case of delivery of Siamese twins.
