Kwabena Kwabena should have been on Sarkodie\u2019s \u2018Mary\u2019 album but he did not avail himself for the recording session.<\/p>\n

This revelation was made by Akwaboah who wrote about 90% of songs on Sarkodie\u2019s \u2018Mary\u2019 album which was released in 2015.<\/p>\n

He was speaking to Kojo Akoto Boateng on Citi TV\u2019s \u2018Saturday Live\u2019 show, when after performing \u2018Nobody\u2019s Business,\u2019 said he wrote the song with Kwabena in mind.<\/p>\n

In the absence of\u00a0Kwabena<\/a><\/strong>, he had to sing it himself.<\/p>\n

According to him, several attempts to get the \u2018Siwagedem\u2019 singer to feature on that song proved abortive.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, I wanted Kwabena Kwabena to do this song. I wrote this song for him. I called him several times but he did not mind me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Akwaboah explained that he wanted variety on the \u2018Mary\u2019 album so he brought on board different artistes to perform the songs he wrote for Sarkodie.<\/p>\n

Pat Thomas, Efya, Obrafuor, Mugeez, Chase and others were all featured on Sarkodie\u2019s \u2018Mary\u2019 album.<\/p>\n

The album has songs like \u2018Wanna Be Loved\u2019 ft. Efya, \u2018Giant Steps\u2019 ft. Chase, \u2018Mewu\u2019 ft. Akwaboah, \u2018Always On My Mind\u2019 ft. Obrafour, \u2018Bra\u2019 ft. Pat Thomas and \u2018All Is You\u2019 ft. Mugeez.<\/p>\n

Others are \u2018End Up Falling\u2019 ft. Akwaboah, \u2018Edwam Tesen,\u2019 \u2018Mary\u2019 and \u2018Sarkcess Story\u2019 ft Efya.<\/p>\n

Akwaboah who is currently promoting his new album dubbed, \u2018Matters of the Heart\u2019 is a songwriter of great repute.<\/p>\n

He has written songs<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for Efya, Kofi Sarpong, Becca, among others.<\/p>\n

He has also won Songwriter of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.<\/p>\n
