Twenty years ago, on the 1st November 1998 Sandvik Mining & Construction [SMC] (Ghana) Limited was incorporated in Ghana to commence business.

For this hi-tech engineering firm operating in over 130 countries with a total staff size exceeding 46,000 this 20th anniversary of the Ghana entity is a great feat, the company says.

From very humble beginnings, SMC (Ghana) Limited, has become the most-preferred mining and construction equipment and related service provider of choice.

Our drilling equipment for both underground and surface operations, our underground load and haul trucks, our crushing and screening equipment with their respective parts and tools; together with our diverse workforce find us actively present on up to 24 mine sites across West Africa.”

“Our community development initiatives remain unparalleled with our focus on local skills development, provision of educational facilities, supporting health initiatives and many more.
