A speeding Kia Rhio truck on Monday night ran over a policeman on night patrol duty on the Atebubu-Kumasi road in the Ashanti Region, MyNewsGh.com.
According to the police information available to MyNewsGh, the vehicle with a registration number.GS 328-11 loaded with Charcoal from Atebubu towards Kumasi on reaching a section of the road near Patuda a village on Atebubu – Amamtin stretch of the road he knocked down corporal Tabong Takaazine aged about 36 years who was on night patrol duties with other Policemen, Killing him instantly.
The driver after the incident came out of the vehicle and run away and this till date his whereabouts unknown
His colleagues have since removed his body under the truck to Yeji Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation awaiting autopsy
