The Police in the Ashanti region has invited one Gabriel Agah of the National Democratic, NDC Congress for threatening to behead the party’s flagbearer should he allow the Electoral Commission to go ahead with compiling of a new voters register.

Gabriel Agah of the NDC in a discussion on Oyerepa FM, a Kumasi-based Radio station threatened to end the life of his political party’s flagbearer if he sits aloof an allows the electoral commission to go ahead with the proposed compilation of a new voters register.

According to the Police, he made this threatening statement on May 30, 2020, and added that Ghana’s 2020 elections will be bloody with the eruption of a civil war.

“Nana (referring to the host), this 2020 general election, if Ghana does not experience civil war it means there will never be a civil war in the country.”

“We will never allow this to happen. JM (referring to the NDC flag bearer, ex-President John Mahama) will be beheaded if he allows this plain-white thievery to be perpetrated. I’m telling you we shall behead JM if he allows it,” he fired.

But in a letter sighted by MyNews, Gabriel has been invited by the Police in the Ashanti region to assist in investigations currently ongoing.

The NDC lost its case it brought against the Electoral Commission. The Supreme court ordered that the Electoral Commission can start with its compilation of a new voters register.

Also the Court said the Electoral Commission should accept just the Ghana card and Passport as the only form of identification for the voters register making the old voters ID card and the birth certificate not valid for the process.
