The Ghana Education Service(GES) has asked the Headmistress of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) Senior High School(SHS), Mrs Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa to step aside to allow the Ghana Education Service to conduct an investigation leading to the death of a student in the school.

A student of the KNUST Senior High School died after authorities of the school failed to give him the needed attention because of the fear that he could be infected by the deadly COVID-19.

According to reports, the student who is a stomach ulcer patient complained bitterly to authorities of the school about his deteriorating condition after he could not get food at the dinning hall to eat.
