Information available to MyNewsGh.com suggests that the District Chief Executive(DCE) for the Sekyere East District Assembly in the Ashanti Region Madam Mary Boatemaa Marfo has been sacked by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
A letter dated 22nd September 2020 said the President had relieved her of her position and has Directed the Ashanti Regional Minister to take over her position until a substantive DCE is nominated by the President.
Her dismissal comes on the back of a story carried by MyNews of a leaked audio in which she was heard campaigning for skirt and blouse votes against an order of the President.
In the said audio, the former DCE was also heard raining insults on Mponuahene of Asokore Traditional Area who doubles as the Chief of Okaikrom, Nana Akwantey Boffour and his colleagues as “Gyimifuo” to wit fools.
Her dismissal will come as a relief to the people in her District because she according to reports has become a thorn in the flesh of many including some assembly members.
