A Free SHS Graduate who scored 8As in this year’s West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, Thomas Amoaning has been given a scholarship by the Government of Ghana to study in a university in the United Kingdom.
A statement from the Scholarship Secretariat said based on recommendations from the Review Committee of the Secretariat, the government intends to take Thomas to the United Kingdom to further his education.
Head of Education at the Ghana High Commission has been instructed to begin with steps to secure a place in one of the United Kingdom’s Universities for the young man who braved all odds to excel.
The statement said the award package will entail full tuition, monthly stipends, return air tickets, accommodation, health insurance, and any other benefit given to beneficiaries of foreign scholarship.
The Secretariat said it has a big announcement for WASSCE Graduates which will be made on December.
