The leader and founder of the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center Reverend Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom has revealed the reason why the current first and second ladies of Ghana will reject the much talked about monthly salaries.
The controversial man of God indicated that he knows the kind of personalities Rebecca Akufo Addo and Samira Bawumia are and as a result will reject the offer to shame the entire nation. Since the brouhaha ensued, no word has been heard from the sitting first and second ladies even though their names have been mentioned.
Their husbands, who are the president and vice have also not commented on the issue. We are told they have no hand in the decision to pay salaries for the first and second ladies. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo and Samira Bawumia have not indicated whether they are interested in the salaries or not but Reverend Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom seems to have read their minds.
In a live Facebook interaction, the man of God indicated that the two first ladies are innocent in the entire brouhaha and knows nothing about it. He indicated that even though the salaries have been proposed, they will both reject the money. He adds that there will be severe consequences if the two should go ahead and receive the salaries irrespective of the numerous outcry of Ghanaians.
It will be interesting if the first and second ladies finally address the nation on the issue and reveal their various positions. This will go a long way to clear the doubts of many Ghanaians and know whether they are interested in the money or not. According to Reverend Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom even if they will agree to take the salaries, it should be channeled to other sectors of the economy to be used for other projects. “I’m very sure Rebecca and Samira will never take the salaries but if she should take, then there will be a big problem”. He indicated.
For now, it is believed that both of them have not received their first salaries after the entire brouhaha broke. We can only wait for them to receive the salaries before any conclusions can arrive.
