Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is one of the most successful politicians in the country. He has served the National Democratic Congress party for a very long time. He is currently the General Secretary of the NDC. He is also married with five children

John Asiedu Nketiah was the member of Parliament for Wenchi West. He contested as MP for Wenchi West constituency and served as MP for 12years. He didn’t end his 12 years tenure in vain. His achievements included the connection of Seikwa to the national grid; permanent structures of the Seikwa Market and lorry park complex; rehabilitation and extension of the Seikwa water supply system.

During his term at Parliament, he served in several Committees such as the Appointments Committee, Finance Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Chairman Mines and Energy Committee, Minority spokesperson on Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs.

His Parliamentary tenure started on 7th January, 1993 and ended on 7th January, 2005. He was also appointed as the the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture by the Late John Jerry Rawlings. He served in this office for four years.

He is the third General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress. He was voted into this position since 2005.
