The former central regional chairman for the national democratic congress has spoken concerning decisions made by government and what he thinks should be done about these rising issues.
Party members or supporters from the Ndc and Npp are not in the position to collaborate, understand each other or reason to a point where their individual interests will be set aside for the country to move on.
According to Allotey Jacobs, there is no way the country will go forward if we as citizens refuse to collaborate with the president.
From what Allotey Jacobs said concerning the tax increment and other issues which have become delicate matters and issues of concern, he also supports the decision by government.
He revealed that in these times, people are crying out to government to effect a change and give jobs.
People according to Allotey Jacobs are crying for jobs and increment in salaries. But what people are refusing to know is that the president does not monitor the affairs of the country or rule the country with money from his pocket.
According to him, the only way we can help is to contribute the little we can through taxes.
Speaking on asempa fm this evening, Allotey Jacobs said that, you don’t wake up one day and dicatate for the entire country when you are a president, and that is why the bill was read and presented before approval. I think we should start looking at what will benefit us more than what politicians will feed us.
He sent stray bullets to members of the Ndc specifically who are making this a major issue of concern even though they themselves are aware of its importance and benefit.
He also said that it is only because the Ndc are in opposition that is why they are behaving as if they are on the other side fighting against this and because if is irrelevant.
Allotey Jacobs further advised that if we don not see the benefit of these huge taxes in some few months to come, then he will also urge Ghanaians to join forces and speak up.
