The Police Service has arrested one Godfred Kataso for allegedly faking a robbery incident he claimed occurred on Friday, February 11 this year.
According to the Police, the suspect filed a robbery report at the Accra Central Police Station that two young men robbed him at gunpoint.
He claimed that they made away with an amount of GH₵ 69,000.00 belonging to his boss, while he was on his way to deposit the said amount at the bank.
The Police stated that the suspect has confirmed to faking the incident, with the intention of traveling abroad with the money.

The Police added that the suspect will be put before court in the coming days.
