At the Regional and District offices, Dr. Okoe-Boye interacted with staff and reassured them of improving their general well-being.

“We are committed to working hard to ensure that you are happy to improve efficiency. The regions will be given autonomy to flourish and I urge you to connect the output to push Universal Health Coverage (UHC) attainment.”

“We are willing to listen to you on the ground. Field operations will improve to ensure district offices’ ownership of the NHIS.”

He emphasized the need for staff to intensify mass awareness creation to renew public confidence in the NHIS.

The Chief Executive decried extra monetary demands (Copayments) by the NHIA credentialed healthcare providers for services covered by the NHIS and promised that it will soon be a thing of the past.
