According to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the country’s recent irregular power supply problem has been successfully resolved.

Speaking to guests at Accra’s yearly May Day celebration, the President expressed hope that the difficulties, dubbed “dumsor,” are now history.

He expressed his appreciation to the populace for their cooperation and forbearance during the difficult times.

“I would like to sincerely thank the people of Ghana for their understanding and patience during the recent intermittent outages in the nation’s electricity supply.

“During this time, the problems related to gas supply and transformers have been effectively fixed, leading to a noteworthy enhancement in the dependability of the power supply,” stated the president.

“In fact, there has not been any load shedding reported anywhere yesterday, and over the past few days, we have seen stable electricity supply across the nation.”

“For the past seven years we have worked tirelessly to keep the lights on and I am confident that the unfortunate era of dumsor will not return,” he added.
