As part of the Eid-Ul Fitr celebration today, Vice President,Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia journeyed the the capital of the Northern Region, Tamale to join his fellow Muslims to honour the occasion.
The Eid prayer was observed at the Tamale Jubilee Park and it was led by the Northern Regional Chief Imam, Shayk Abdul Salam. Thousands of Muslims trooped the venue to take part in the Eid prayers.
The vice President addressing the Muslims at the Tamale Jubilee Park encouraged them to continue to abide by the tenets of Islam. He recommended the Ulama for the peaceful manner they conducted the exegesis of the Noble Quran this year.
The veep also used the occasion to account for the Npp government’s stewardship for the last 18 months and to also announce a number of infrastructural projects the government of Pres Nana Akufo Addo would be rolling out in the region and across the nation.
