President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his resolve to save the public purse has directed appointees who will be joining him during his tour of the Ashanti Region, to board a rented Inter City STC bus he hired.

In recent times, many have raised concerns about the long convoys of the President and his vice indicating that it is in variance with his promise of protecting the public purse considering how Ministers, Deputies and other appointees always run on fuel-guzzling vehicles.

The President himself who appears not enthused about the development has paved the way during his 5-day tour of the Ashanti region with the provision of a bus meant to convey all Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Members of Parliament wishing to accompany him.
