Blame gov’t for the death of the movie industry – Mr. Beautiful

Clement Bonney known popularly as Mr. Beautiful says Ghanaians need to blame the government for killing the movie industry.

Mr. Beautiful after meddling in politics got “sidelined” in the movie industry and has since 2016 hardly been featured in movies.

Speaking to Kofi TV, the actor noted that the movie industry has failed because of the government’s failure.

He mentioned that movie producers are also to be blamed for the failure of the industry.

He said “”50% is from the government, 25% from both actors and actresses and 25% from production”.

Mr Beautiful mentioned that he being sidelined is also a contributing factor to the failure of the movie industry.

“It has affected me because my fans don’t have the chance to enjoy me and it has also affected movie productions because it has affected the quality content that viewers need to see”.
